Terms of use

The short version: we keep your vault encrypted and can't open it, so your passphrase is your responsibility. The first 10 records in each wallet are free; a one-time payment unlocks unlimited records for that vault.

01The service

pswrds (“we”) is a password manager at https://pswrds.com, operated by SEMLIN s.r.o., company ID (IČO) 27569837, registered in the Commercial Register kept by the Municipal Court in Prague, file C 114792. Your records are encrypted on your own device before they are sent to us, and we never receive your passphrase. By creating a vault, using one, or paying for one, you agree to these terms.

02Your passphrase

We can't reset your passphrase, recover a vault or read what's in it. If you lose your passphrase, the records in that vault are gone for good. Keep it somewhere safe, and keep your own copy of your records with the Back up button inside your vault.

03Free and paid

• Each wallet holds up to 10 records for free.
• A one-time payment of $20 (USD) unlocks unlimited records for that vault for as long as pswrds runs. There is no subscription.
• Payments are made in cryptocurrency through NOWPayments. Their terms also apply to the payment itself.
• We may change the price for new purchases. That doesn't affect vaults that are already paid.

04Refunds and withdrawal

Unlimited records start as soon as your payment is confirmed. By paying, you ask us to start right away, and you agree that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once that happens.

Payments aren't linked to vaults, so we can't take access back, and payments are final except where the law says otherwise. If you paid and your vault wasn't unlocked, email us the payment ID from the payment page and we'll send you a license code.

05Fair use

Use pswrds lawfully. Don't try to get into vaults that aren't yours, attack or overload the service, or create vaults in bulk by automated means. We may limit how many requests one connection can make.

06Availability

We work to keep pswrds running and your data safe, but we can't promise the service will always be available or free of faults. We may change or improve the app. If we ever decide to close pswrds, we'll announce it on this site at least 90 days in advance so you can move your passwords elsewhere.

07Liability

pswrds is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data, or for harm caused by someone else learning your passphrase or using your device. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, or your rights as a consumer.

08Changes and law

We may update these terms. We'll announce important changes on this site before they take effect. Czech law applies, along with any consumer protection of your own country that can't be set aside.

If you're a consumer and we can't resolve a complaint together, you can turn to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce, coi.cz), which handles out-of-court consumer disputes.
